A Transportation Master Plan (TMP) is the result of a coordinated effort to plan for the transportation needs of a municipality given the future land use plans. Because of large and often unpredictable growth in any given city or county, it becomes necessary to update the TMP periodically. Regular updates to the plan provide government officials with the tools and knowledge they need to make decisions for the transportation improvements in their respective communities.
Hales Engineering analyzes current and future roadway and traffic conditions in order to develop a master plan. Planned roadway improvements are taken into account when analyzing the future conditions. Recommendations are made based on the anticipated traffic volumes and land developments.
